One of the largest and most notorious US music festivals, South by Southwest (SXSW), is in full swing in Austin, TX this week.

SXSW has the city filled to the brim with new and seasoned musicians alike, as well as fans who have come from all over the world to see the festival in it’s 31st year. Not only is the festival about hearing the latest and greatest music that the industry has to offer, but it also includes film screenings, technology, panels with entertainment professionals, comedy, and other special and interactive events.

Featured events this year include Nashville’s Lady Antebellum, Eli Young Band, Future Thieves, and Langhorne Slim- just to name a few! Festival-goers can also sit in on conversations with legendary titans of the music industry, including Mick Fleetwood and Sammy Hagar, or they can catch one of the hundreds of films or industry talks around the downtown area.

In the midst of all the festival madness, Willie Nelson is just outside of the city hosting his 5th annual Luck Reunion for country fans to enjoy. He will be featuring some new Nashville favorites such as Margo Price, Brent Cobb, and Conor Oberst- a small sample of the 40 artists he is featuring this year.

Nashville is only a few months away from it’s big CMA Fest at the beginning of the summer, where country music fans will flood the city to see all their favorite country acts. The first of the lineup for this year has just been released, and we can expect to see a lot of the same faces that are rockin’ Austin this week. We will keep you posted as more information about the 2017 CMA Fest is released!
